New Brazilian license plate

The Brazilian license plate made since 1990 of three letters and four numbers , separated by a dot. The combination shows the state of the initial registration . In addition, the license plates contain a band above this combination that shows the state and municipality of the registration. At the front is a two-letter combination for the state , followed by the full name of the municipality. The color of the license plate is gray with black lettering. Public vehicles such as B. Taxis , buses or trucks have red signs with white letters. The signs remain permanently assigned to the vehicle. When changing location, only the small part above with the location and the abbreviation for the state is exchanged. The rear plate must be sealed and firmly attached to the vehicle. The color of the seal shows the year of the last vehicle inspection.
