Kohlhiesel's Töchter is a comedy film by the film director Kurt Hoffmann from 1943 and the third film adaptation of the eponymous Bauernschwank by the scriptwriter Hanns Kräly . In the lead role embodies Heli Finkenzeller the attractive daughter Veronika Bauer Kohlhöfer.

action

Farmer Mathias Kohlhöfer, a farmer with body and soul, internalizes the wish that his beautiful daughter Veronika does not take the first man as a husband. In his eyes he envisions the bachelor Simon Moser as a suitable husband for his very valuable daughter. In his train of thought, however, he ignores the fact that his daughter has already fallen in love with someone else. Her chosen one is Kaspar Pointer, who is not particularly wealthy, but she doesn't value such qualities at all, because he has a good character.

Veronika realizes that her father already imagines Simon as the suitable husband for her and is now striving for a transformation in order to prove to her father that the potential spouse he favored is only after her inheritance.

To this end, she disguises herself in an extremely unattractive person named Annamirl Kohlhöfer, poses as a half-sister of Veronika to Simon and shows that she will be the sole heir to their father's fortune.

As expected, Simon suddenly takes a liking to her, which proves to her father that Simon is looking for the wealth that is promised to him through an inheritance with a wife at his side.

Veronika's father confesses to his mistake and agrees to recognize his daughter's true lover, Kaspar, as his future son-in-law.
