Krottendorf-Gaisfeld is a municipality with 2,451 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the judicial district or district of Voitsberg in Styria .

The municipality is located west of Graz and extends over an area of 17.05 km².

Economy and Infrastructure
Next to the municipal office in Krottendorf there is a police station of the federal police , which is responsible for the municipalities of Krottendorf-Gaisfeld, Ligist and Stallhofen.

The blazon of the coat of arms of the municipality of Krottendorf-Gaisfeld reads:
"In green, a silver bar made of five ears of corn touching each other."
The color of the green coat of arms comes from the coat of arms of a former sovereign who owned most of the municipality of Krottendorf-Gaisfeld. The word "field" in the community name contributed to the choice of the heraldic figure, the grain ears. In addition, the name Gaisfeld derives from Gau , which originally means the field taken for special use. The ears of wheat have been shown in simplified form in the form of a bar, the metal in the coat of arms is expressed by the silver of the ears.
The municipality flag is solid white with the coat of arms.
