Watershed and rivers

The Krutenberg is on the Diemel-Eder / Fulda / Weser watershed : while the Wild Aa ( "Aar"), which rises on its eastern flank, flows east and by the Orke a southern detour through Eder and Fulda to Weser makes, reached the water of the brooks, which arise on its northern and western slopes, in northern directions through the nearby Itter and then through the Diemel the Weser.

flora

On the summit region of the Krutenberg there is a once elongated strip of forest surrounded by fields, the tree population of which was severely decimated in January 2007 by Hurricane Kyrill , so that only a parcel of wood remained around the summit.
