The Lämmerberg and Vockenwinkel is a nature reserve in the municipality of Seegebiet Mansfelder Land in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0110 is 14.2  hectares in size. It is part of the approximately 84 hectare FFH area “Dry grass slopes north of the Süßen See” and is part of the landscape protection area “Süsser See; Sweet and Salty Lake ”. The area has been under protection since 1967 (date of regulation: September 11, 1967). The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Mansfeld-Südharz.

The nature reserve is located in the eastern Harz foreland north of the Süßen See. It protects the slope areas of the Riss , parts of the western slopes of the Lämmerberg and the Linden Gorge, a glacial meltwater channel, which runs between two elevations in north-south direction to the south of the lake. In the area of the nature reserve there are meadow orchards as well as species-rich semi-arid lawns and rocky meadows (fescue-feathered twine lawns, cilantro grass fields and mountain-gamander fescue meadows).

Wine and fruit were cultivated on the rift until the late 20th century. Before 1990, the semi-arid grassland was grazed by a state-owned estate, since 1992 parts of the area have been grazed with sheep and goats as a maintenance measure. Characteristic types of the semi-dry lawn are stemless tragacanth, steppe milkweed, spring Adonisröschen, horse-drawn donkey and German ziest. Narrow-flowered träubel and knotless grass lily also grow on shallow rubble soils. There are also numerous other plants from the poor locations, many of which are also endangered and included in the Red List of Endangered Species . Oak-hornbeam forests and robinia grow on the slopes of the Lindenschlucht gorge .

Numerous bird species are native to the nature reserve, including wheatear, red-backed red-backed shrimp, wryneck and green woodpecker. It is also a habitat for insects, including various butterflies (including the sail butterfly ) and snails, including the blind snail and the common heather .

The nature reserve is surrounded by fallow land. In the southeast it borders on a wooded area, in the north also on agricultural land.
