The Hasenwinkel is a nature reserve in the Lutherstadt Eisleben in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0109 is 18.4  hectares . It is part of the approximately 84 hectare FFH area “Dry grass slopes north of the Süßen See” and is part of the landscape protection area “Süsser See; Sweet and Salty Lake ”. The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Mansfeld-Südharz.

The nature reserve is located in the eastern Harz foreland east of Lutherstadt Eisleben. It protects a steep slope of the Schalksberg exposed to the south or west as the upper part of an erosion gorge. The range of the reserve is of species-rich dry and semi-dry grass ( fescue -Fiederzwenkenrasen, melica ciliata corridors and Berggamander -Schwingelfluren) and the east by the residue of an oak-hornbeam forest embossed. Notable plants of the lawns are z. B. Shaggy pointed keel , ground tragacanth , steppe wolf milk , horse donkey , batting grass and Transylvanian pearl grass . There are partially dilapidated or overgrown dry stone walls of abandoned vineyard terraces. Here are u. a. Gelber Günsel , Blauer Gauchheil , Roter Hornmohn and Schopfige Grubenhyacinth can be found. Privet - sloe bushes and dwarf cherries also grow here , which reach the north-western limit of their distribution here .

The nature reserve is the habitat for various birds , including the sparrowhawk , goldhammer , green woodpecker , wryneck and red-backed shrimp , which also breed here.

To the north, the nature reserve is followed by intensively used arable land on the Schalksberg, through which the area is eutrophicated .
