Lars Haugen (born March 19, 1987 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Manglerud Star in the GET league since April 2020 .
Career
Lars Haugen began his career as an ice hockey player in Manglerud Star's youth department , where he was active until 2004. He then played for two years in the youth department of Leksands IF in Sweden. From 2006 to 2009 the goalkeeper ran in parallel for the professional team of Sparta Sarpsborg in the GET-ligaen and its second team in the second-class 1st division . From 2009 to 2011 he was a regular goalkeeper at Lørenskog IK in the GET-ligaen, where he was loaned to his ex-club Manglerud Star for most of the 2010/11 season .
For the 2011/12 season Haugen was obliged by HK Dinamo Minsk from the Continental Hockey League , but initially loaned to HK Schachzjor Salihorsk from the Belarusian extra league . Between 2012 and 2015 he was a member of Dinamo's regular squad and played over 80 KHL games. After the 2014/15 season his contract ran out and Haugen moved to Färjestad BK from Svenska Hockeyligan and played there until the end of the 2017/18 season. He then signed a one-year contract with the EC KAC from the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League in July 2018 .
International
For Norway , Haugen took part in the junior division in the 2004 U18 Junior World Championship and the 2005 U18 Junior B World Championship and the 2006 U20 Junior World Championship . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2011 World Cup . In his seven appearances, he was able to convince with a catch rate of 92.6 percent and an average of 2.70 goals per game. In the tournament he was voted one of the three best players in Norway. Further participation in world championships followed in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 as well as in the 2014 Winter Olympics .
