The 2013/14 season was the 13th season of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A , the top division in the Italian men's basketball club . It was the 92nd championship in Italian men's basketball . The main round started on October 13, 2013 and ended on May 11, 2014 with the 30th and final game day. The play-off final round for the championship lasted until June 27, 2014.
Mens Sana Siena started the season as defending champion and cup winner .
Pistoia Basket was promoted to the 2013/14 season .
After the main round, Sutor Montegranaro was determined to be relegated to the A2 series . In addition, Mens Sana Siena filed for bankruptcy a few days after the final defeat in the play-offs. However, as a potential successor, Montegranaro decided not to remain in Serie A.
Olimpia Milano won its 26th championship title after 18 years of drought. Cup winner was Dinamo Sassari , who won his first national title.
