The 2014/15 season was the 14th season of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A , the top division in the Italian men's basketball club . It was the 93rd championship in Italian men's basketball . The main round started on October 12, 2014 and ended on May 10, 2015 with the 30th and final game day. The play-off final round for the championship lasted until June 16, 2015.
Olimpia Milano started the season as defending champion and Dinamo Sassari as cup winner .
Aquila Trento was promoted to the 2014/15 season , and Orlandina Basket moved up for the bankrupt Italian champion Mens Sana Basket Siena .
After the main round, JuveCaserta Basket was determined to be relegated to Serie A2 , but was able to remain in Serie A due to the withdrawal of the main sponsor and the associated voluntary relegation of Virtus Roma .
After winning the cup last year, Dinamo Sassari was able to celebrate its first Italian championship title and also perfect the double by defending the cup against Milan .
