Lhotta was mentioned for the first time in 1350 when Margaretha von Blažkov sold Elisabeth, Hroznata von Březí's wife, two hubs of land, a mill and a forest in the village . In 1371 Johann d. J. von Meziříč to his wife Katharina von St. Görgen 1200 pounds of Viennese denarii as a morning gift to the villages of Čikov , Lhotta and Březka and the Kyjov farm. In 1373 a Heinrich von Lhotta was mentioned. In 1390 Jaroslav von Meziříč donated the village to the newly founded Church of St. Peter and Paul in Tassau . In 1398 the widow Johanns d. J. von Meziříč took her morning offering on Březka to Elisabeth, the widow of Wilhelm von Swetlow, and took it on the morning offering in Čikov, Zhoř and Lhotta in community. In 1411 Peter von Sovinec sold eight hubs in Lhotta to Fabian von Meziříč and his son Johann. Johann von Meziříč and the Tassau pastor Sigmund gave the eight Huben in Lhotka in 1446 to the married couple Johann and Elisabeth Morawa. The married couple Morawa left their eight Huben in 1492 to Marta Pawlowska and her son Sigismund von Meziříč, who they ceded to John of Lomnitz a little later . Since the 15th century the village was called Lhotka . In 1526 Johann von Pernstein sold Lhotka to the owner of the Namiest estate , Wenzel von Lomnitz .

In 1837 the village of Lhotka in the Znojmo district consisted of 12 houses in which 75 people lived. The parish and school location was Tassau. Until the middle of the 19th century, Lhotka remained subject to Fideikommissgrafschaft Namiest.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lhotka formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Holubí Zhoř in the judicial district of Groß Bittesch . From 1869 Lhotka belonged to the Groß Meseritsch district . At that time the village had 73 inhabitants and consisted of 12 houses. In 1936 the new chapel was consecrated. Between 1939 and 1945 Lhotka belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 Lhotka was separated from the municipality of Holubí Zhoř and reassigned to Tasov . The farmers of Lhotka resisted forced collectivization after the February revolution of 1948 . In 1950 Lhotka only had 56 inhabitants. In the years 1951–1952 a show trial was held against the “kulaks” from Lhotka, who had refused to accept collectivization . Five farmers were sentenced to six months imprisonment and a fine of CZK 40,000 for non-compliance with state requirements for nationalization of their property, resettlement and, in the event of return, with six months in prison. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velké Meziříčí, Lhotka was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou on July 1, 1960 . In 1961 it was incorporated into Ruda and on July 1, 1980 after Velké Meziříčí . In 1975 the motorway was built. Since the beginning of 1992 Lhotka has been part of Ruda again. Attractions

  • Chapel of St. Kyrill und Method in the village square, it was built in 1936 instead of a wooden building
  • Lysý cross next to the chapel, it was erected in 1897 by the Lysý family in place of a wooden cross erected in 1885.
  • Memorial stone to the kulak trial, erected in 2011 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary
  • Atonement stone, it was standing in front of the motorway construction on the way to Křeptov and was moved to the meadow above the driveway in 1975. The 122 × 65 × 26 cm large stone bears a relief with a cross and a knife blade and the year 1897. According to tradition, it is said to have been set up in memory of the apostles Cyril and Methodius. However, this is debatable; the stone is also believed to be a stately landmark or associated with the murder of a butcher.
