Holubí Zhoř (German Zhorz Holuby , 1939–45 Holub Shorsch ) is a district of the city of Velká Bíteš in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers west of Velká Bíteš and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou .

geography

Holubí Zhoř is located in the valley of the Jelenka brook in the Křižanovská vrchovina ( Krischanauer Uplands ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The D 1 motorway runs north . In the east rises the Chocholáč (516 m nm), south of the Koní vrch (526 m nm) and in the northwest the Bačatka (582 m nm).

Neighboring towns are Ruda and Křeptovský Dvur in the north, Záblatí , Jáchymov and Bezděkov in the Northeast, Nové Sady in the east, Březka , Jindřichov and Jasenice in the southeast, Čikov in the south, Vaneč and Kamenná in the southwest, Tasov and Dvořáci the west and Dolní Heřmanice and Lhotka in the north-west.

history

First documented the place in 1356, when Subec of Stařechowic one was Freihof of Zhoř Zhoř in the Niklas intabulieren left. In 1360 there were three courtyards in Zhoř, the remaining part belonged to the Tassau rule . Znata and Tas von Tassau had their property in Zhoř - two farms - insured for their heirs in 1361.

In 1560 Georg Mrakeš von Noskov and his wife Katharina, née von Sternberg, sold the fortress and the town of Tassau with all its accessories to the owner of the Budischau estate , Jan Martínkovský von Rozseč. Magdalena von Chlewsko had her share - two courtyards and 11 inmates in Tassau, five inmates in Zhoř Holuby and the desert fortress Hrádek transferred to Jan Martínkovský in 1568. This sold Tassau including the desert castle Dub , the desert fortress Hrádek and the shares of Zhoř Holuby in 1572 together with Budischau to the owner of the estate Meziříčí Wenzel Berka von Dubá and Leipa. In 1779 the manorial dairy and part of the village burned down.

In 1842 the in consisted Jihlava district village located Zhoř Holubí or Zhoř Holuby of 35 houses, where 229 people lived. After the abolition of patrimonial formed Zhoř-Holubí / Zhorz Holuby 1849 with the districts Jáchymov and Lhotka a municipality in the judicial district of the United Bittesch . From 1869 Zhoř-Holubí belonged to the Groß Meseritsch district . At that time the village had 237 inhabitants and consisted of 37 houses. The place name was changed to Holubí Zhoř in the 1870s . In 1900 there were 247 people in Holubí Zhoř; In 1910 there were 258. In the 1921 census, 443 Czechs lived in the 76 houses in the community, and 246 in the 39 houses in the village of Holubí Zhoř. In 1930 Holubí Zhoř consisted of 44 houses and had 222 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Holubí Zhoř / Holub Shorsch belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 the community was assigned to the Okres Velká Bíteš, at the same time the district Lhotka was reassigned to Tasov . In 1950 Holubí Zhoř had 205 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velká Bíteš, Holubí Zhoř was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou on July 1, 1960 . On July 1, 1980 it was incorporated into Velká Bíteš. At the 2001 census, there were 147 people in Holubí Zhoř's 55 houses. At the beginning of 2010 the village had 161 inhabitants. Holubí Zhoř is dominated by agriculture, in addition to farms, Agro Záblatí as cultivates part of the land.
