List of architectural monuments in Osterhofen

The monuments of the Lower Bavarian town of Osterhofen are compiled on this page . This table is a partial list of the list of architectural monuments in Bavaria . The basis is the Bavarian Monument List , which was first drawn up on the basis of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act of October 1, 1973 and has since been managed by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation . The following information does not replace the legally binding information from the monument protection authority.

Town square ( location )	Ensemble in the town square of Osterhofen	The urban settlement of Osterhofen did not come into being until the late Middle Ages when Landgrave Johann I von Leuchtenberg re-established it in 1378 near the present-day town of Altenmarkt and its former Premonstratensian monastery. It essentially comprised the area of ​​the town square, which has the shape of a large, irregular rectangle. The area is framed like a wall by four closed rows of bourgeois residential buildings and official buildings. These are strictly eaves-side buildings with plastered fronts and partly high pitched roofs on the south, west and north sides of the square and baroque, neo-baroque and neo-Gothic gabled houses on the east side. In the southwest corner of the square, former stately buildings are concentrated, such as the Leuchtenbergschlössl, which is essentially late medieval, the Traunersche Schlössl, now the town hall, from around 1700 and the former district court from the mid-19th century. They tower above the other buildings and document the importance of the city as a court seat. The bourgeois buildings often have plaster structures and stucco decorations from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. However, the effect of their fronts is often severely impaired by shop fittings. The department store Stadtplatz 16 is disturbing in the ensemble.	E-2-71-141-1
