List of castles and chateaus in Lesser Poland

The list of castles and palaces in Lesser Poland includes historical buildings of the old province of Lesser Poland , which originally comprised the southern part of Poland with the metropolises Krakow , Lublin , Zamość and Sandomierz . The temporarily belonging Ukrainian areas of Galicia , Podolia and Volhynia are not taken into account here.
According to the latest administrative division of Poland, the old Lesser Poland extends to today's voivodships Lesser Poland , Heiligkreuz and the western parts of the voivodships Lublin and Subcarpathian as well as smaller parts of the voivodeships of Silesia (north and east), Łódź (east) and Mazovia (south).
