Apparatus factory Carl Otto Raspe (Askania House) with wall, bunker and watchtower of the MfS | Askania house, the Askania works 1939 / 1940-1941 by Richard Schubert From 1945 it was the new town hall of the Weissensee district. From 1947 to 1953 the building served the main administration of Soviet property abroad at the Council of Ministers of the USSR ( also: HV of Soviet assets abroad; HV of Soviet joint-stock companies abroad), German branch, head: Colonel General B. Kobulov. From 1953 to the end of 1992, the Personal Protection Department of the State Security used the facility. On January 3, 1990, members of the round table took over the building. Since November 2, 1990, it served again as the town hall of the Weissensee district and the Pankow / Weissensee tax office. With the administrative reform, the part of the building at the corner of Berliner Allee and Liebermannstrasse became the Weißensee town hall, as a citizens' advice center and branch of the Pankow town hall, to which Weissensee has belonged ever since. The much larger part of the building has been the so-called "Creative City Weißensee", also called "ECC - European Creative Center", since 2005. |
