As the first industrial branch west of Ollenhauerstraße, the brass works marked the beginning of a location for the metalworking industry that was rapidly developing with the construction of the Kremmener Bahn. The massive building made of yellow exposed brickwork by R. Arans shows an asymmetrically designed facade. Risalit-like protruding side parts with pointed end of the dwarf house, together with the staircase tower, contribute to a weighty silhouette effect. The two-storey building facing the street shows a three-storey facade on the courtyard side facing the former production facility, only structured by the strict rhythm of uniform segmented arched windows. ”( Topographie Reinickendorf, 1988, p. 195 )

It was a seven-part type design, which is also known as the Café Achteck because of its octagonal layout . Between 2000 and 2001 the lavatory was dismantled, restored by Wall AG and rebuilt so that women can also use the toilets.
