geography

course

Littfequelle

The Littfe rises and runs in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park . Your source is in the outer southwest of the Rothaargebirge on the south-southwest flank of 643  m above sea level. NHN high Wolfshorn at 551.3  m above sea level and about 3.7 km northeast of Burgholdinghausen in the district of this Kreuztal district.

Initially, the Littfe flows in a south-westerly direction between the mountain Hoher Wald ( 656.2  m ) in the south-east and the Glühberg ( 495.4  m ) in the north-west through a wooded valley in which it receives numerous small tributaries from the surrounding slopes and between the at the Hundem tributary Olpe (Rahrbach) located Kirchhundemer district Welschen Ennest and the Kreuztaler district Littfeld south of the Rahrbacher tunnel located in the Glühberg the Ruhr-Sieg route crosses. There it changes from the Rothaargebirge to the natural Siegerland and leaves the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge nature park in order to flow to the Kreuztaler core town west of the park.

From now on the Littfe runs in a predominantly southerly direction parallel to this railway line in the east and to the federal highway 517 in the west to and through Burgholdinghausen, where it takes up the Langebach on the right. It then passes through Littfeld, where it flows southwest for a short distance and crosses under the B 517 twice. There the Littfe takes the Heimkaus on the left and the Limbach on the right. Then it runs through the east of the Kreuztal district of Krombach , between the districts of Eichen with the upstream small settlement Bockelbach in the west and Stendenbach in the east and south-southeast through Eichen. There the Littfe crosses under the B 517 and takes the Bockenbach coming from the Bockenbach district on the right. Then it flows between the B 517 in the east and the federal highway 54 in the west.

Then reaches the Littfe Kreuztal , where the right side the Heesbach accommodates and, after twice passing under the B, directly north west of the site of the 54 kreuztal station to about 273  meters height in the coming there from left and northeast victory influx Ferndorfbach (remote village) opens .
