Lorenz (also: Laurentius ; † June 7, 1232 ) was Bishop of Breslau .

Life

Nothing is known about his origins and training. It is believed that he came from the Silesian family of the Pogrell .

After the death of the Breslau bishop Cyprian , Lorenz was appointed as his successor in 1207. The episcopal ordination took place by the Gnesen Archbishop Heinrich I. Kietlitz in the Benedictine monastery Olobok.

Lorenz is said to have participated in the Synods of Glogau (1208), Borzykowa (1210), Mstów (1212), Trebnitz (1219) and the IV Lateran Council .
