Mühlhausen is a deserted area in the district of Adorf in the North Hessian municipality of Diemelsee .

Geographical location

The place was about 323 meters above sea ​​level . The place of the desert is about two kilometers north of Adorf (see coordinates).

history

Mühlhausen was mentioned several times in documents. Several variants of the name are known. The first mention of the desert is unclear. The earliest mention of 1216 can be assumed. The known documentary evidence can be found in the following overview:

In 1323 the von Horhusen transferred an estate in Mühlhausen near Padberg to the Marsberg provost, which Gerbodo von Mühlhausen had as a fief of them. The following year, the knight Johannes von Rhena and his brother Hermann also left an estate in the village of Mühlhausen, with which Albert von Mühlhausen was enfeoffed, to provost and convent in Marsberg. In 1324, the squire Johannes von Adorf sold half of his estate (boni) in Mühlhausen, which was located in the Adorf parish, to the Bredelar monastery . In 1334 the monastery acquired 1/2 estate in Mühlhausen. In 1335 the Bredelar Converse Dietmar donated 24 marks to the monastery for a good (bono) in Mühlhausen. In 1366, the von dem Scharfenberg family renounced an estate in Mühlhausen opposite the monastery. In 1447 Count Otto von Waldeck confirmed to the monastery that the deceased Johann von Osterhausen had donated half the farm in Mühlhausen for an eternal memorial. In 1509 the Marsberg Propstei exchanged two Hufen zu Mühlhausen with the monastery for two shares in Asper Mark and Hanloe. In 1526 the monastery left land in Mühlhausen to the Waldeckers.
