Rotheringhausen is a deserted area in the district of Flechtdorf in the North Hessian municipality of Diemelsee .

Geographical location

The place was about 464 meters above sea ​​level southeast of Flechtdorf. Today the "Hof Erleheim" is located there.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1141. The spelling of the place name then appears in medieval documents in alternating forms:

In 1141 Abbot Adelbert von Corvey exchanged his tithe from two farms in Rotheringhausen for a hoof from the Flechtdorf Monastery in Esbeck . In 1192 the Flechtdorf monastery received 20 marks from the married couple Alexander and Kunigunde, with which the repurchase of a pledged farm in Rotheringhausen could be financed. In 1194, the Archbishop of Cologne, Adolf von Altena, confirmed ownership of the monastery there, including tithes. End of the 15th century, the Flechtdorfer Abbot Konrad Becker bought the Count of Waldeck all services and Bede into Rothe Ringshausen for 160 gold florins.
