The MSC Seaview is a cruise ship . After the MSC Seaside, which was completed in 2017, it is the second ship in the Seaside class , the fifth generation of ships from MSC Cruises . The ship, which can hold a good 5,300 passengers, is the third new build as part of the MSC investment and growth program.

history

The ship was commissioned together with the sister ship MSC Seaside in May 2014 from Fincantieri under the project name "Seaside".

Construction of the ship began on October 16, 2015. On February 2, 2017, the traditional mint ceremony took place at the shipyard in Monfalcone as part of the keel-laying of the ship . The float took place on August 23, 2017, after which the ship was undocked.

The construction of the MSC Seaview , like that of the MSC Seaside , cost around 700 million euros.

The ship was originally due to be delivered in May 2018 and christened on June 2, 2018 in Civitavecchia , Italy . There were delays during construction, the ship was delivered on June 4, 2018 and christened by Sophia Loren on June 9 in Genoa . On June 10, the MSC Seaview was put into service.

Furnishing

The MSC Seaview features similar to the sister ship MSC Seaside a diverse entertainment. It was developed for warm sailing areas and has over 13,000 square meters of outdoor areas.

The ship has several outdoor pools and a roof-top pool. Another feature of the ship is the Waterfront Boardwalk , a 360 ° promenade on decks 7 and 8. Various bars and restaurants can be found on this promenade. On both sides of this are the Infinity Bridges , two glass bridges over the sea. The lifeboats of MSC Seaside were specially housed below this promenade for this promenade.

There is also an Aqua Park on board with four water slides and a mix of adventure playground and children's pools, on deck 18 right by the chimney. There is also a 120 meter long zip line that ends at the stern of the ship. It is considered to be the longest zip line at sea.

The ship has a theater with 934 seats. There are four performances here every day. In addition, the ship has two full-size bowling lanes, a baby club, a mini and junior club and a teens club. There is also a casino on board.

The ship has nine different restaurants, including the main restaurant, a large buffet restaurant and various specialty restaurants, as well as 20 bars and lounges. At the stern of the ship there are panoramic elevators and a 30 meter long glass bridge.

The ship is about 70 meters high.
