history

Coin ceremony

The traditional mint ceremony, in which two commemorative coins symbolize the strong bond between the city of Marseille and MSC Cruises, took place on November 4th 2010 at the shipyard in Saint-Nazaire . One coin shows the city's coat of arms, while the other coin bears the MSC logo, the compass rose. On the occasion of the ceremony, the two coins were welded in the keel of the cruise ship under construction.

Sister ships

The MSC Divina has three identical sister ships. The MSC Fantasia was christened as a type ship on December 18, 2008 in Naples. On July 12, 2009, the MSC Splendida was christened in Barcelona . The maiden voyage took place from July 13th to 18th, 2009. On March 23, 2013, the MSC Preziosa was christened by Sophia Loren in Genoa.

Naming and baptism
