The M 01 is a Ukrainian highway of "international importance" ( Ukr. Awtomobilnyj Shlyah mischnarodnoho snatschennja ). It leads from Kiev in a northerly direction to the Belarusian border and is a section of the European route 95 . In Soviet times it was part of the M 20 , today's R 23 .
