The M 07 is a Ukrainian trunk road. It runs from Kiev in a westerly direction parallel to the Belarusian border via Korosten and Kowel to the Polish border at Chełm . Before 1991 the road was designated A 255 in the Soviet trunk road network . The continuation of the M 07 on Polish territory is the S12 expressway to Lublin and on to Piotrków Trybunalski near Łódź .
history
The route between Chełm and Kowel belonged to the territory of the Second Polish Republic between 1921 and 1939 and was declared a state road ( droga państwowa ) by the Polish Road Act of June 23, 1921, despite its unpaved condition .
