Borodjanka ( Ukrainian and Russian Бородянка, Polish Borodzianka ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Kiev Oblast with 13,000 inhabitants (2012) and the administrative seat of the raion of the same name .

The village, founded in 1190, is located on the banks of the Sdwysch ( Здвиж ) 55 km northwest of Kiev and has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1957. Until 1667, the place was under its Polish name Borodzianka in the Kiev Voivodeship as part of the aristocratic republic of Poland.
