Vyshneve ( Ukrainian Вишневе ; Russian Вишнёвое Vishnyovoe ) is a city in Ukraine in the Kiev Oblast with about 40,000 inhabitants (2019). The city is a few kilometers from Kiev located satellite town .
history
The town began in 1887, when the Shulyany railway station was built here . In 1961 the settlement was renamed Wyschnewe ( cherries ) because there were actually a lot of cherry trees growing here.
In the 1960s, the city's industry expanded intensively and the population grew rapidly. In 1971 Wyschnewe received city rights.
