Chabany

Tschabany ( Ukrainian Чабани ; Russian Чабаны Tschabany ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with around 4,600 inhabitants (2019).

Chabany is located in the Kiev-Svyatoschyn district on the M 05 highway 19 km southwest of the city center of Kiev .

Together with the village of Novosilky ( Ukrainian Новосілки ) Tschabany forms a settlement council that borders on the Kiev township of Holossijiw and the district council of Chotiw .

Chabany was founded in 1670 and has had urban-type settlement status since 1981.
