Obuchiw ( Ukrainian Обухів ; Russian Обухов Obuchow ) is a city in the central Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 33,000 inhabitants (2017)

The city is located about 45 km south of Kiev and near the city of Ukrajinka on the right bank of the Dnieper . The proximity to Kiev makes Obukhiv attractive for commuters. In the city the trunk road N 01 and the regional road P-19 cross .

The city council is divided into the actual city and the 2 villages Lendy ( Ленди ) and Tazenky ( Таценки ).

The city, mentioned in writing for the first time in the 14th century, has not been under the district administration since July 10, 2010 , but is directly under the oblast administration. It is still the administrative center of Obukhiv Raion .
