Luhyny ( Ukrainian Лугини ; Russian Лугины Luginy , Polish Łuhyny ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zhytomyr and the administrative center of the raion of the same name with 4,100 inhabitants (2014).

The village was founded in 1606 and received urban-type settlement status in 1967.

Luhyny is located on the right bank of the Ush , a tributary of the Pripyat, 120 km north of the Zhytomyr Oblast center and 26 km northwest of Korosten . In the south, the M 07 road leads past the village.

Luhyny Rajon , founded in 1923 and the administrative seat of which is the village, is located in the central north of Zhytomyr Oblast. It has an area of ​​994 km² and about 17,000 inhabitants. The population density is 18 inhabitants per km².
