Druzhba

Druzhba (Ukrainian and Russian Дружба ) is an urban-type settlement in Olevsk Raion in Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine .

The district capital of Olevsk is 20 km to the west and Zhytomyr 100 km to the south-east of the settlement, the Dibrowa settlement council, which existed until 2016, also included the urban-type Dibrowa settlement, which was located about 4 km to the south, and since then it has belonged to the Olevsk municipality (Олевська міська громадада).

The place was established after the Second World War to promote the development of the large quartz deposits in the area. In 1961 Druzhba was officially founded and received the rank of an urban-type settlement. The tracks of a branch line from Dibrowa to Schowtnewe run through the village , today the quartz rock is produced by the company Druzhbivskyj Karjer nerudnych kopalyn "Kwarz" (Дружбівський кар'єр нерудних копалин "Дружбівський кар'єр нерудних копалин" - the Druschbivskyj Karjer stone book "Копалин" - which is not the Druschbivskyj Karjer stone book Ministry of Defense is dismantled.
