Kornyn

Kornyn ( Ukrainian Корнин ; Russian Корнин Kornin ) is an urban-type settlement in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast of Zhytomyr with around 2,200 inhabitants (2015).

The village was founded in 1550 received in 1938 the status of an urban-type settlement and is the administrative center of the same name, 80.031 km² municipal council municipality in eastern Rajon Popilnia to still the village Koroliwka ( Королівка ⊙ ) with about 110 inhabitants and the settlement Radhospne ( Радгоспне ⊙ ) with about 1400 inhabitants.

Kornyn is located on the T – 06–11 territorial road and on the banks of the Irpin, 20 km north of the Popilnja Rajon center and 82 km south-east of Zhytomyr .
