Holovyne ( Ukrainian Головине ; Russian Головино Golowino , polish Hołowin ) is an urban-type in the Ukrainian oblast Schytomyr with about 2,000 inhabitants (2014).

Labradorite quarry natural monument near Holowyne

Holowyne was founded in 1894 in connection with the commissioning of a granite and labradorite quarry and received urban-type settlement status in 1981. Holovyne the only village of the settlement council Municipality in Rajon Cherniakhiv and lies on the territorial road T-06-05 is 13 km east from Rajonzentrum Cherniakhiv and 36 km northeast of the Oblastzentrum Zhytomyr .
