Marjanivka

Marjaniwka ( Ukrainian Мар'янівка ; Russian Марьяновка Marjanowka ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zhytomyr with about 1500 inhabitants (2014).

Marjanivka was founded in 1590 and received urban-type settlement status in 1977. Marjaniwka is the administrative center of the settlement council of the same name, which also includes the village of Dorohan ( Дорогань ) with about 20 inhabitants.

The settlement is located in the east of Baranivka district, 67 km west of the Zhytomyr oblast center and 20 km east of the Baranivka district center .
