Bykivka

Bykivka ( Ukrainian Биківка ; Russian Быковка Bykowka ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zhytomyr with around 1,800 inhabitants (2014).

The town in the north of Romaniv Raion was founded in 1871 and received urban-type settlement status in 1938. The settlement is the administrative center of the settlement council district of the same to the remaining villages Sarniwka ( Сарнівка ⊙ ) with about 60 inhabitants and Towschtscha ( Товща ⊙ ) includes approximately 300 inhabitants.

Bykivka is located about 60 km west of the Zhytomyr oblast center and 17 km north of the Romaniv district center . Territorial road T-06-18 runs through the village in a north-south direction .
