Under the name Mamertino di Milazzo DOC or simply Mamertino DOC , Italian white and red wines are produced in the province of Messina ( region of Sicily ).   • Mamertino di Milazzo Bianco and Mamertino di Milazzo Bianco “Riserva” : Together, at least 35% Grillo and Inzolia (also called “Ansonica”). Each grape variety must contain at least 10%, as well as at least 45% Catarratti . A maximum of 20% other white grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Sicily region may be added.
  • Mamertino di Milazzo Rosso and Mamertino di Milazzo Rosso "Riserva" : At least 60% Nero d'Avola (also called "Calabrese" here) and at least 10% Nocera . A maximum of 30% other red grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Sicily region may be added.
