Tripi is a small municipality in the metropolitan city of Messina in the autonomous region of Sicily in Italy with 818 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Tripi is 70 kilometers west of Messina . The residents mainly work in agriculture.

history

In antiquity, the originally Sicilian city ​​of Abacaenum (or Abakainon / Ἀβάκαινον ), which came under Greek cultural influence, was located near today's location .
