Location and dates
Forza d'Agrò is 43 km south of Messina . The residents mainly work in agriculture.
The community has existed since the Middle Ages.

- Parish church, dedicated to Saint Annunziata, from the 17th century, inside a carved choir from the 18th century and a crucifix from the 14th century

Forza d'Agrò was used as a filming location for some scenes of the mafia film The Godfather ( The Godfather , 1972) by Francis Ford Coppola with Al Pacino and Marlon Brando , as the originally intended location Corleone was not suitable for the filming. As early as 1961, Forza d'Agrò was the location for the film Jessica with Angie Dickinson .
