Graniti is a city in the metropolitan city of Messina in the region of Sicily in Italy with 1455 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
Location and dates
Graniti is located 65 km southwest of Messina . The residents mainly work in agriculture. Wine, olives and fruit are grown.
The neighboring municipalities are Roccafiorita , Antillo , Castiglione di Sicilia ( CT ), Gaggi , Mongiuffi Melia and Motta Camastra .
history
The place was founded by the Arabs. In the Middle Ages the place was under feudal rule. In 1639 it gained independence from Taormina .
