Mistretta is a city in the metropolitan city of Messina in the Sicily region in Italy with 4554 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Mistretta is 144 km west of Messina . The inhabitants work mainly in agriculture, cattle breeding and handicrafts.

history

The place was called Amestratus in ancient times . The city developed in the Middle Ages. In 1101 the city was declared a county.
