Manatee Road borders directly on the cities of Chiefland and Fanning Springs and to the west on Manatee Springs State Park , which in turn is traversed by the Suwannee River . In the immediate vicinity there is a connection to a common route of the US Highways 19 , 27 Alternate and 98 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 2244 inhabitants were distributed over 1249 households. The population density was 64.5 inh / km². 95.0% of the population identified themselves as whites , 1.5% as African-Americans , 0.4% as Indians and 0.4% as Asian Americans . 1.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.9% to several ethnic groups. 3.4% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
