Williston is a city in Levy County in the US state of Florida with 2,768 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Williston is about 10 km east of Bronson and about 120 km southwest of Jacksonville .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 2768 inhabitants were distributed over 1148 households. The population density was 158.2 inh / km². 69.1% of the population identified themselves as whites, 23.4% as African-Americans , 0.1% as Indians and 1.6% as Asian Americans . 3.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.2% to several ethnic groups. 11.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 36.3% of all households and persons aged at least 65 years in 28.9% of all households. 65.3% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.01.
27.3% of the population were younger than 20 years, 25.7% were 20 to 39 years old, 22.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 24.3% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 38 years. 46.8% of the population were male and 53.2% were female.
The median annual income was $ 36,188, with 18.4% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 97.10% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 2.90%.

The crime rate was 426 points in 2010 (US average: 266 points) in the average range. There were four robberies, 25 personal injuries, 27 break-ins, 89 thefts, six car thefts and two arson attacks.
