Williston Highlands is a census-designated place (CDP) in Levy County in the US state of Florida with a population of 2,275 (as of 2010).

Williston Highlands is about 15 km southeast of Bronson and about 140 km southwest of Jacksonville .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 2275 inhabitants were distributed over 1071 households. The population density was 77.6 inh / km². 92.5% of the population described themselves as white , 4.0% as African American and 0.4% as Native American . 1.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.3% to several ethnic groups. 6.8% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 29.0% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 31.8% of all households. 66.6% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.44 people and the average family size was 2.91 people.

23.3% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 30.1% were 40 to 59 years old, and 25.1% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 44 years. 49.1% of the population were male and 50.9% were female.

The median annual income was $ 40,672, with 25.8% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
