Raleigh is a census-designated place (CDP) in Levy County in the US state of Florida with 373 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Raleigh is about 15 km east of Bronson and about 120 km southwest of Jacksonville . The CDP is crossed by US Highway 41 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 373 inhabitants were distributed among 166 households. The population density was 74.6 inh / km². 41.8% of the population identified themselves as whites, 55.2% as African American , 1.3% as Indians and 0.3% as Asian Americans . 1.3% said they belonged to several ethnic groups. 2.7% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 33.3% of all households lived in 24.0% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 66.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.49 people and the average family size was 3.00 people.

20.7% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 17.7% were 20 to 39 years old, 35.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 25.8% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 48 years. 48.0% of the population were male and 52.0% were female.

The median annual income was $ 17,143, with 14.3% of the population living below the poverty line.
