Massimo Sinató (born December 2, 1980 in Mannheim ) is a German professional dancer in the Latin American dance division , dance sport trainer and choreographer .

Life

Sinató is the son of an Italian and a German. Sinató studied English and history in Mannheim. He was married to his dance partner Tatjana Kuschill from June 2011. Three months later, the couple opened a dance studio in Königsbrunn near Augsburg, which Sinató Kuschill left after the separation in August 2012. Since then he has been in a relationship with Rebecca Mir , his dance partner from Let's Dance 2012 . The couple married in Sicily on June 27, 2015 .

Career

Sinató has been dancing since he was ten. From 1992 he took part in amateur tournaments. Massimo Sinató became Belgian champion in 2001. With his dance partner Tatjana Kuschill, he was Bavarian Master S-Latin from 2006 to 2010 and multiple DM finalist. In 2008 Sinató was second in the German rankings. In 2009 he won the IDSF world rankings tournament in Spain with Kuschill. In August 2010 the couple switched to the professionals.

Sinató has been participating in the RTL Let's Dance format since 2010 . In the third season he danced to victory with Sophia Thomalla. The following year he was eliminated from the quarterfinals with Liliana Matthäus. In the competition of the fifth season, he took second place with Rebecca Mir in 2012. In the sixth season he danced with Manuela Wisbeck in fifth place, in the seventh season with Larissa Marolt in the quarter-finals. In 2015 he was the dance partner of Minh-Khai Phan-Thi, with whom he reached second place. In season nine he took third place alongside Jana Pallaske, as he did in the following year with Angelina Kirsch. In the 11th season broadcast in 2018, his dance partner was Julia Dietze, and in 2019 Barbara Becker. In the same year he won the Special Let's Dance - The Great Professional Challenge with Ekaterina Leonova . In 2020 he again took first place with dance partner Lili Paul-Roncalli.

In 2013 he was a participant in the RTL show Die Pool Champions - Celebrities under water . He came in second behind Magdalena Brzeska . In September 2016, Sinató appeared in the ProSieben game show Schlag den Star , where he was defeated by handball player Andreas Wolff . In February 2020 he was a candidate for The Big Celebrity Bake . He was eliminated in the second episode. In the pilot episode and the second episode of Llambi's dance duel , he competed against Christian Polanc .
