Master of the Rings is the sixth studio album by the band Helloween . It was published by Castle Communications in 1994 .

Music genre

Helloween's sixth studio album Master of the Rings is the follow-up reaction to the end of his career, which he almost suffered with Chameleon : The band is consciously returning to Power Metal with a new singer and drummer and, with the conceptual title Master of the Rings, is noticeably closer to the successful Keeper of the Seven Keys albums.

meaning

After the Chameleon album the band is in ruins: drummer and founding member Ingo Schwichtenberg had to leave the band before the tour in 1993 due to his schizophrenia illness. Strong tensions among the band members led to the separation from Michael Kiske . EMI also releases the band from their contract. Andi Deris is hired as the new singer and Uli Kusch as the drummer. The music, which is arranged and rehearsed in just two weeks, is based on the original sound of the group, although the new musicians do not sound like the early works, it reveals its own identity.
