Keeper of the Seven Keys - The Legacy is the eleventh studio album by Helloween . It was published by SPV in 2005 .
Music genre
The style is all Heavy Metal, but borrowings from Progressive Metal can be found through the complex arrangements.
meaning
The album is the continuation of Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 (1987) and Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2 (1988). When the band announced a sequel, the news sparked controversy among fans and press: The main focus of skepticism was the fact that the band line-up has changed massively since the original albums. Above all, the lack of the original singer Michael Kiske was cited as a point of criticism.
The album was a huge success for the band (it reached number 28 on the German album charts). The acceptance among fans and critics was largely positive. On the following well-attended world tour, Helloween recorded a live album and a live DVD, which were released in 2007.
Light the Universe is the first duet in the band's history. The guest singer is Candice Night from Ritchie Blackmore's band Blackmore's Night .
