7 Sinners is the 13th studio album by the band Helloween . It was released by Sony Music in 2010 .
Music genre
As announced in advance, the album was harder than its predecessor, although all the typical Helloween trademarks are still present. Stylistically it moves between Power Metal and Speed Metal .
meaning
Compared to the previous albums, the album was announced in advance as being very hard and fast. The single Are You Metal? released. A video was also shot that plays with various metal clichés.
The album was a huge hit for the band, chart positions are listed further down the page. The acceptance among fans and critics was almost entirely positive. Andreas Schöwe from the trade journal Metal Hammer gave the highest rating of 7 out of 7 points, the renowned online portal metal.de 9 out of 10.
After the album a world tour took place with the well-known Finnish power metal band Stratovarius and Pink Cream 69 from Germany , the former band of singer Andi Deris, as support.
For the first time since the album The Dark Ride , which was released in 2000, each piece is an original composition, which means that the text and music for each piece come from the same band member and there are no works by several members. Except for drummer Dani Löble, all band members took part in the songwriting on this album.
