Matthew Dzieduszycki (born April 8, 1980 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Stoney Creek Generals from a Canadian amateur league.
Career
The 1.81 m center moved in 1997 from the Mississauga Chargers from the Ontario Junior Hockey League to the University of New Hampshire , for whose ice hockey team he participated in the NCAA game operations . After two years with the Barrie Colts from the Canadian junior league OHL , the left-handed shooter moved to the Canadian college sports organization CIS , where he put on the skates for the team from the University of Western Ontario .
After he had already completed his first professional games for the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League in the 2000/01 season , Dzieduszycki was also on the ice for the Syracuse team in the 2001/02 season and also played a few games for various crunch farm teams in the East Coast Hockey League . After a one-year engagement with league rivals San Antonio Rampage , the Canadian was only used in the low-tier ECHL, whereupon he finally signed a contract with HC Morzine-Avoriaz from the French Ligue Magnus . After a few months in France, the attacker moved to the Füchsen Duisburg in the German Ice Hockey League , which he left after a year for Hannover Scorpions . In 2007 the Canadian was appointed to the “North America Team” at the DEL All-Star Game .
Dzieduszycki, nicknamed "Diesel", was the German champion with the Scorpions in the 2009/10 season. For the 2011/12 season he was committed by the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg .
