The nature reserve Mauermer and Bammentaler Elsenztal lies in the area of the municipalities Bammental , Mauer and Meckesheim in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis in Baden-Württemberg .
The area extends south of the core town of Bammental. The Elsenz flows on the northern edge, the district road 4161 runs through the area in the western area and the B 45 in the eastern area . The K 4161 runs to the west.

For Bammental, Mauer and Meckesheim, an area of 162.0 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve since December 12, 1997 under the identification number 2.210.
