The nature reserve Altenbachtal and Galgenberg lies in the area of ​​the communities Malsch (near Wiesloch) and Mühlhausen (Kraichgau) and the city of Rauenberg in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis in Baden-Württemberg .

The area extends south of the core town of Rauenberg and northeast of the core town of Malsch on both sides of the B 39 . The state road L 546 runs not far to the south .
