Michael von Au

Michael von Au (born September 25, 1964 in Berlin ) is a German theater and film actor .

Life

Michael von Au completed an acting degree with Maria Körber and Hilde Hessmann . He began his career in Berlin in the comedy on Kurfürstendamm . From there, Dieter Dorn engaged him in 1988 at the Münchner Kammerspiele, which he directed . In 2001 von Au moved to the Bavarian State Theater with Dieter Dorn . In addition to Dorn, he also worked with directors such as Helmut Griem , Anselm Weber , Christian Stückl , Jens-Daniel Herzog , Thomas Bischoff , Franz Xaver Kroetz , Hans-Ulrich Becker ,Elmar Goerden , Barbara Frey and Thomas Langhoff .

Engagements led him u. a. to the Theater in der Josefstadt (Vienna), the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the National Theater Mannheim , the State Theater Stuttgart , the Fritz Rémond Theater (Frankfurt am Main), the Renaissance Theater and Schlosspark Theater (Berlin), the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof (Munich) ), to the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus (Hamburg) and to the Salzburg Festival .

In addition to his theater work, he appeared in numerous television roles, including as Florian Unger in the first season of the ZDF series Samt und Silk and as Richard Liliental in the ARD series Arman's Secret . He has also appeared in several episodes in the well-known crime series Der Alte , Tatort and SOKO Munich . He directed the award-winning comedy Nobody Loves Me with Doris Dörrie . In 2004 he had a leading role in the multiple award-winning film for children and young people Who Kisses an Iguana? .

Michael von Au is an avowed Hertha BSC fan.
